In coolsculpting, we use a revolutionary technique called cryolipolysis. This removes fat cells permanently through precisely controlled cooling. The treatment is quick and virtually painless. There are no injections, surgeries or anesthetics involved and the recovery period is extremely short. Because of the gentle treatment, the tissue around the fat cells is not damaged. With coolsculpting, we make rolls of fat disappear in specific areas, such as the abdomen, legs and waist. A special device (the applicator) clamps the roll of fat between cooling plates that cool the skin to four degrees Celsius. You then feel an intense cold for a very short time.
The treatment will take about 1 to 2 hours and you can just read a book or do some work on your laptop in the meantime.
After treatment, the natural process of fat cells dying off begins. They are gradually disposed of by the body, naturally through the liver and kidneys. The best results of coolsculpting treatment are visible after about two to four months. After just one treatment, our clients notice a size loss of 1 or 2 inches. Since the fat cells gradually leave the body, the skin can adjust to the slimmer contours without sagging.
To achieve the best results with coolsculpting, we usually opt for three treatments. Of course, this also depends on your personal wishes and the thickness of your roll of fat. After about two to four months you will check the results with the plastic surgeon and decide if you want to have further fat areas removed. Beforehand, the surgeon will draw up a treatment plan to achieve the best possible results. By undergoing multiple treatments in a short period of time, you will achieve the desired results faster. Please note that cryolipolysis is not intended to treat obesity or to lose a lot of weight at once.
